The Kannada Localization Initiative Team and Volunteers team at Sampada is very happy to announce the GNU/Linux installation festival, GNU/Linux Habba.
ಹೌದು, ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಲಿನಕ್ಸ್ ನ ಔತಣ ಬಡಿಸೋ ಆಸೆ. ಲಿನಕ್ಸ್ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಆಗಬೇಕು. ಅದನ್ನ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸೋದು ಸುಲಭ ಆಗಬೇಕು, ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿರೋ ಸಂದೇಹಗಳನ್ನ ನಿವಾರಿಸುವುದಾಗಬೇಕು, ಗ್ನೂ/ಲಿನಕ್ಸ್ ನ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯವನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಮೆಲ್ಲಬೇಕು ಅನ್ನೋದು ನಮ್ಮ ಆಶಯ.
We will:
೧. Help you install GNU/Linux on your Laptop/Desktop.
೨. We will show you how to type in Kannada and configure, optimize your system for Kannada.
೪. If you bring an empty CD, we'll copy your favourite distribution on it for you*. (And this won't be piracy! You're also free to distribute those.)
೫. We will answer all your questions related to Kannada on GNU/Linux to the best of our knowledge.

೨. If you're a technology enthusiast - join hands with us in helping others install GNU/Linux. For more information on this, read Om Shiv's article on it (The Article is in Kannada).
೩. We will need non-technical volunteers too! Let us know if you like to Volunteer.
೪. If you like to install GNU/Linux and use Kannada on it, bring your laptop or Desktop. We will be there to help you install and configure it.
೫. Do you have questions related to Kannada on GNU/Linux? Put them across and we will try to answer to the best of our Knowledge.
